Most people have one thing in common: they want to buy things but hate spending money.
Well at least I do. I'm a little bit of a cheapskate. I often go to thrift shops, cheap stores, or buy things from sites like ebay and aliexpress. But I also love one other thing: flea markets.
Some people may wonder what is so fun about them, as there's mostly a lot of junk. But to me it's all abour finding that one treasure. It's kinda like a scavenger hunt. You gotta find the treasure before someone else does.
Yesterday I went to a large flea market and I bought a few nice things. It's always difficult to find something when there are hundreds of people in the way because you're kinda forced to keep walking in order to prevent causing a traffic jam. Or well, a walking jam. It limits the time you have to look at things. So you gotta be focused. You gotta know what kind of things you're looking for. For example I was looking for shoes, sweaters, skulls and crystals. But even then you gotta pay close attention. I have a large shoe size, so I don't just look at every pair of shoes, I only look at those who seem to be my size. It's all pretty specific, you know?
I love doing these things. There's nothing better than finding that one treasure in the midst of all the junk and claiming it. Especiall when you know that it's way more expensive in stores.
Though there seems to be a taboo on wearing second hand clothes. I don't know why though, I mean, just wash them a couple of times and you're good to go. I think about 1/4 of my closet consists of second hand clothes. Of course, there's a lot of junk out there, but also a lot of treasures. You just gotta find the one.
Anyways, if you're short on money but still want to shop, I suggest you go to thrift shops and flea markets. Trust me, there's nothing more satisfying that buying a lot of things knowing that you didn't spent too much money on them.
I bought all these things below for a total of €19. It sounds too good to be true. But it is true.
