As some of you may know I love to craft. So I've decided that every once in a while I'll share some of my favourite crafts with you. And don't worry, you don't need to be a craft expert for this. Most crafts will be fairly simple yet fun to do. So let's start with the very first craft tutorial!
I've been making these bookmarks for quite a while now and I really love them. Mostly because you can get very creative with them. And you only need a few supplies:
- Scissors (obviously)
- Glue (I used something similar to mod podge, but most glues will do)
- Coloured paper of your choice
- White paper
- A pencil
- A ruler of some sorts
- A marker
Step 1: Draw 3 squares of 5cm x 5cm (5 cm = 1.9 inch I think?) and draw diagonal lines in two of them as seen in the picture below. Then cut them out as pictured,
Step 2: Fold the two triangles inward and glue them onto each other. Press and hold for a moment, then put it aside to dry.
Step 3: Draw some eyes and teeth on the white paper and cut them out. You can also use googly eyes if you have those. Or use any other kinds of decorations. Be creative! I also cut out some ears for this little monster. Glue everything on and you're done!
(I have no idea where that black stripe on the blue monster came from. It just suddenly.. appeared somehow..)
I made some other monsters as well, but instead of monsters you can also make animals, or try and make your favourite characters! (I once made Being Human US bookmarks this way) This is way nicer than using a receipt as a bookmark, in my opinion. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I'll gladly answer them for you.
